I drew my self-portrait of me looking like a big guy. My drawing had different sizes, depths, and curves. I had a strong emphasis on my guy's being darker. I also gave my face some texture to make my drawing more intriguing, and to add life. When I was creating my drawing I chose to make my light a little darker than normal to add a mean sort of feeling to my drawing. I feel like I did a good job making my body looks proportional and I feel like I could've worked on making the shading come together with a little more by blending my pencil marks. My biggest emphasis was on the hair because It is the centerpiece of my work and the spot that I wanted to stand out the most, so I gave it a lot of contrast to draw attention to it. I feel like if I wanted to improve my drawing I could've added more shading and shadows to give the drawing more depth.
